For authors who have finished the book

Writing is 10%,

Launching is 90%

You wrote the book. You got it published. That was the 10%. The other 90% is the launch: the keynotes, the podcasts, the media, the platform, the partnerships, the hundreds of small things that decide whether your book reaches the readers it was written for. Book Launch Partners runs that 90% as one plan, with one accountable partner, so you are not stitching vendors together while trying to be an author.

The part nobody tells you

Writing is the first 10%.

Writing the book is 10% of the work. Launching it is the other 90%. Your publisher edits, prints, and distributes. They do not launch. However you published, the launch is yours.

What the 90% actually is

Keynotes. Podcasts. Media. Events. This is the launch.

A launch is not a post on publication day.
It's a steady obedience in the same direction.

01 · Stages

Keynotes and speaking

Stages are where books go to work. We build the kit, the pitch, and the pipeline that put you in front of the rooms that matter.

02 · Airwaves

Podcast tours

A curated run of shows your reader already trusts, pitched, booked, and prepped for you.

03 · Press

Media and news appearances

The press file, the story angles, and the outreach that put you in the conversation, not just in the catalog.

04 · Rooms

Events and launch kits

Launch events, virtual and in person, plus kits and boxes that land on the desks of planners, organizers, and associations.

05 · People

Ambassador and buyer programs

The people who love the book, organized. Advance copies, reviews, and word of mouth with a plan behind it.

06 · Platform

Platform and Amazon presence

Your list, your social, and a bookstore page that actually sells, built before launch day, not after.

The math nobody does

Everything sells about seven books.

A podcast interview sells about seven books. A webinar, seven. A panel, a newsletter, a conference breakout, about seven. One appearance might sell seventy and the next might sell zero, but it is never 400, and nothing sells a thousand books in one shot.

Bestselling status usually starts north of 4,000 copies. So the real number is 571 things: webinars, podcasts, radio, print and digital interviews, Q and As, social lives, posts, direct mail, signings, email sends, newsletters. The authors whose covers you recognize did not get there on one big break. They did their 571 things.

571
things.
“Everything sells seven books. Not 4,000, seven.”
Scott Jeffrey Miller, Co-Founder
That is the 90%. Nobody does 571 things in their spare time.
One partner, every leg

Most authors juggle it. You shouldn't have to.

The usual playbook is a publicist for a few months, a freelancer for the ads, and guesswork for everything else. Nobody owns the launch as a whole, so it stalls in the handoffs.
We run it as one plan, with one team, from the strategy to the last podcast.

You stay the author.

We run the launch so you can keep doing the thing only you can do: being the voice behind the book.

You are never guessing.

One plan, one calendar, one point of contact. You will always know what is happening and what comes next.

One partner owns it.

No handoffs, no finger-pointing between vendors. If something stalls, we solve it. The outcome is ours to deliver.

How we help you launch

Four phases. One partner. The whole launch.

Phase 01

Map

Start with your why. Get clear on your reader, your buyer, and what winning looks like for this book: return on investment, and return on impact.

Phase 02

Build

Platform first. Your list, your social, your assets, your ambassadors, and the pre-launch runway, all in place before launch day.

Phase 03

Launch

The release, run properly. Into the right hands, not just onto the most shelves. And it does not stop at 90 days.

Phase 04

Expand

The book goes to work: keynoting, coaching, consulting, courses. The reason you wrote it in the first place.

The launch runs in perpetuity. Your reader discovers your book when they do, not when you try to.

The signature moves

We cut through the sea of sameness.

Every author's book has a unique message, a unique reader, and a unique measure of success. So your book needs a unique launch strategy. We partner with authors to envision, produce, and execute a highly customized approach to bringing your book to the world.

Top of the stack, not the slush pile

Your book lands on the right desk with a tabbed page marking the part that matters to that person, a note referencing something they actually wrote, a clear ask, and a phone number. Books that arrive that way get opened.

Real packages, real people

Advance copies go out in real packaging with a personal note, to two lists we build with you: the advocates who will talk about the book, and the buyers who can put it to work. This is where most launch budgets should go, and rarely do.

Kits that get you booked

Launch kits and boxes for conference planners, event organizers, and associations, plus printed card decks that make saying yes to a keynote easy.

Platform before publication date

You need a platform to launch the book, not a book to build the platform. The list, the social, the runway, standing before launch day.

Every launch is different because every author has a unique message to share. Start with a call, and we will map the right fit.

Scott Jeffrey Miller

Scott Jeffrey Miller

Co-Founder

Multi-bestselling author, former host of one of the world's largest weekly leadership podcasts, and co-founder of Gray + Miller Agency. Scott has launched hundreds of books at scale and knows exactly where most launches fall apart: not because the book wasn't great, but because few authors built the runway. He brings hard-won launch expertise and candor to every author engagement.

Davin Salvagno

Davin Salvagno

Co-Founder

Multi-bestselling author and co-founder of The Purpose Summit and Maison Vero. Davin literally wrote the books on purpose: Thieves of Purpose and Finding Purpose at Work. He co-founded Book Launch Partners because he kept watching brilliant authors pour everything into their manuscript, only to see it disappear into the noise.

Drew Young

Questions authors ask us

Fair questions. Straight answers.

Do you only launch books from Maison Vero or Gray + Miller?

No. Traditional, hybrid, independent, or self-published, the door is open. The ecosystem is where we learned the work; it is not a membership requirement.

When should the launch start?

Earlier than feels reasonable. The best launches start while the book is still being written, because the platform and the audience take the longest to build. If your book is already out, you are not too late. A launch can start any time someone owns it.

I am not a marketer. How much of this lands on me?

Your voice, your stories, your presence. That is your part, and nobody can do it for you. The strategy, the outreach, the bookings, the follow-through: that is ours. You will always know what is next, and it will never be “figure it out.”

What does a launch cost?

Pricing is customized. We do not sell templates, so we do not publish a price list. What a launch costs depends on the plan your book actually needs, and we will not know that until we understand your book, your reader, and your buyer. It starts with a call where we map your launch and tell you the honest next step, including the parts you can do yourself.

Is the launch just the first 90 days?

No. Your reader discovers your book when they do, not when you try to. We build launches that run in perpetuity, so the book keeps working years after the publication date.

Will this sell a lot of books?

Here is the contrarian view, and we hold it with a straight face: it may not matter how many books you sell. Roughly 95 percent of what a nonfiction book earns never comes from book sales. It comes from keynotes, coaching, consulting, and courses. By that measure, what matters is how few books you can sell, as long as they reach the right people: the ones with the problem, the authority, and the budget to bring you in. We aim the launch at what the book is really for.

What happens on the first call?

No pitch. We ask about your why, your reader, and your buyer, then tell you what we would do with your book, whether or not you work with us.
